The Maestro’s Overture follows a conductor on the one journey that never makes the programme: the drive to his own gala. From a villa above the sea at last light, through a city of wet reflections and sodium gold, the Zeekr 9X carries him — and the score — to the hall.
Art direction works two palettes against each other: the cold blue of the city at night versus the warm gold of the cabin and the hall — the world he passes through against the world he is heading into. Wet asphalt does the rest, turning every street lamp into a second light source and keeping the car read as a black silhouette with light moving over it rather than a lit object. Framing stays patient and lateral, the way a tracking shot would hold, so the car moves through the frame instead of posing in it.
Built with the current generation of AI models — Seedance 2.5, Seedream and GPT — with one piece of traditional craft kept underneath: every shot of the car is anchored to my own 3D renders of the 9X. Generative models drift, and a vehicle is the one subject an audience will notice drifting. Real CG renders as reference held the body lines and the detailing identical from the driveway to the gala steps.
